Wine Review: This slightly opaque and carmine red colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a redwood and vanilla bouquet with hints of blueberry and acai berry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and quite bright for a Cab. The flavor profile is a cedar influenced red plum with notes of blueberry and nutmeg. I also detected some hints of stone dust, oolong tea, and a touch of muddled mint in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and moderate dusty tannins stick around for quite a bit. I would pair this good value Cab with a grilled mushroom cheeseburger. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This alluring Cabernet Sauvignon draws you in with aromas of black cherry, blackberry, mocha, savory blueberry, and sweet baking spices. On the palate, silky tannins and a supple, rounded texture frame the voluptuous dark berry flavors, with notions of barrel spice adding nuance and complexity to the long, lush finish.
