Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Pinot Noir from Davis Estates opens with a mild dried strawberry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of nutmeg, oak, and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and structured. The flavor profile is a black plum and oak blend with notes of cola and stone dust. We also detected hints of cardamom, pecan and a touch of dried strawberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and firm, but fine tannins where nicely extended. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with Forge & Vine short ribs. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Our 2023 Pinot Noir showcases this style in glorious fashion. It has the shine and color of highly polished, sun-darkened mahogany. Mellow aromatics of clove and cedar fill the bowl of the glass. Notes of black tea, red plum, and dried cranberry parade through the flavor profile. All of these elements are balanced on the great structure that is the foundation of this wine.
