Wine Review: This hazy and deep garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon based red blend from Davis Estates opens with a red currant and red licorice bouquet with hints of eucalyptus, orange peel, and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, bold, velvety, and seamless. The flavor profile is a black currant and graphite blend with notes of oak, blueberry, and stone dust. We also detected hints of oolong tea and black licorice. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed moderate polished tannins are nicely sustained. The Tasting Panel would pair this well-built red blend with Snake River Farms wagyu strip steak. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This signature Bordeaux style blend showcases what can be accomplished with these varietals superbly. Our first vintage to have all five of the main Bordeaux varietals, it opens up with aromas of wild blueberries, black licorice and vanilla. The beautifully integrated, grippy tannins on the palate trail into notes of Bing cherry and cranberry. The aromas and flavors of this seductive blend are the perfect pairing for tonight’s dinner or will stand the test of time!
