Wine Review: This almost clear colored Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand opens with a gooseberry and yellow grapefruit bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, soft and round. The flavor profile is a tart yellow grapefruit and green pepper blend with notes of herbal tea. I also detected hints of pear and lemon verbena. The finish is dry, and its acidity and flavors are nicely extended. I would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with swordfish skewers with peppers and onions. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our Sauvignon Blanc displays a pale straw hue with a green edge. Punchy Sauvignon Blanc aromas show the elements from these two major sub regions of Marlborough. The wine is distinct and punchy with layered aromas of guava, gooseberry, lime and grapefruit. The palate is concentrated driven by flavors of green tropical fruits and citrus with an elegant and energetic finish.
