Wine Review: This is a simple, light garnet colored Pinot Noir that is a good value. It has a pleasant bouquet of cherry, wet leaves and vanilla. It is medium bodied, with bright acidity and light tannins. That makes it quite smooth. The flavor profile is raspberry, cherry and spice. There is some heat and slight earthiness in its long finish. This is a nice everyday wine that would be quite quaffable at a party or easy enjoy with roast Cornish game hens. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: To create a Pinot worthy of the Dark Horse label, winemaker, Beth Liston, sourced her grapes from select producers, like the premier vineyards of California’s Central Coast. It is bright, with a bountiful amount of cherry fruit and notes of rose petal and lavender. It is velvety smooth, almost creamy. Its softer edges that make for easy sipping. Our Pinot Noir makes a champion out of weeknight meals, it compliments absolutely everything.
