Wine Review: This good value Cabernet Sauvignon from Dark Horse is an inky dark purple color. It opens with a faint bouquet of blackberry, leather and cherry that is sweet smelling. It is medium bodied, with upfront tannins. Perhaps it is still a bit young. It is slightly thin and a tad bitter on the palate, with bold flavors of cherry, dusty oak, coffee and clove. The moderate finish has notes of smoke and coffee. The strong flavors can take on charcoal grilled marinated steak tips. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: The New World Cab that just can't stop exceeding expectations. This full-throttle bottle is a true Dark Horse original. What you'll taste: A velvety smoothness to those firm tannins. The deliciously dry "big tannin" feel paired with fruity aromatics. Amplified layers of dark berry fruit with hints of dark chocolate and espresso. Pair with burgers, steaks, chops, shepherd's pie, and anything else you happen to sit down to.
