Wine Review: This India ink colored wine from DAOU opens with a black cherry bouquet with a hint of red beets. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, round and rich. The flavor profile is stewed black plum with notes of fine minerality. We also detected hints of boysenberry, black tea and black licorice. The finish is dry and its grippy tannins build-up and stick around for quite some time. The Panel suggested pairing this wine with duck confit. Enjoy - KWGTP
