Wine Review: This brick red colored Pinot Noir from Cristom was the most Burgundian in style that we came across in our big blind tasting. It opens with a red currant, mild oak, menthol, and red beet like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied and displays pleasant acidity. The flavor profile is a very tasty oak infused black cherry with notes of strawberry rhubarb. I also detected some red currant and a dash of black pepper as well. The finish is dry and finishes very silky and smooth. The panel suggested pairing this very tasty Pinot with pork tenderloin and a wild mushroom risotto. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Aroma: savory and dark; cherry-compote Taste Impression: supple and forward; medium-weight, gorgeous balance Future: will soften in the short term and evolve for many years
