Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Syrah from Cordant opens with a mild raspberry bouquet with hints of citrus peel and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, smooth and has a nice presence. The flavor profile is red plum and raspberry blend with notes of faint strawberry, dark chocolate and oak in the background. The finish is dry and its tannins linger nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this very nice Syrah with fresh sliced Norwegian salmon with stuffed acorn squash. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Pronounced black pepper, cured meat, and dark fruit, with a hint of cardamom on the nose. Dark cherry fruit up front yields to subtle notes of pepper and meat. Tannin presence is almost immediate and carries through to the finish. Mouth-watering acid holds it all together with a texture driven mid palate.
