Wine Review: This dark red and translucent Pinot Noir from Copain opens with a fragrant and appealing spiced plum and vanilla oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and little juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty red plum and red raspberry blend with notes of gentle oak, vanilla and mild minerality. We also picked up some hints of cranberry and red cherry mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its flavors mild warm tannins linger nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this very nice Pinot with roast pork loin. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2017 "Tous Ensemble" Pinot Noir is our second offering from the Sonoma Coast appellation. Taking what we learned the previous year we were able to take this wine to the next level of quality. The goal for this blend is a wine that is true to the Copain style of being an elegant expression of Pinot Noir, yet a bit more friendly to drink upon release. On the nose, are screaming aromatics of pomegranate and anise. As the wine opens up, strawberry and black tea emerge. This wine is plush on the entry, but given tension by its fine grain tannin and nervy acid.
