Wine Review: This opaque and midnight blue colored red blend from Napa Valley opens with a mild black cherry bouquet with a hint of cola and faint oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry with notes of plum and boysenberry. I also detected hints of gentle oak in the background. The finish is dry and its dusty moderate tannins are sticky and linger for quite some time. I would decant this wine in the near term and serve it with a cowboy ribeye. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Berries, violets, allspice and freshly baked pastry unite in an offering reminiscent of berry pie. The aromatic potpourri prominently features bright cherry flavors and sandalwood-tinged cocoa spice. Handsomely sculptured tannins showcase the mouthwatering fruit compote in the long, lingering finish. - Mike McGrath, Winemaker
