Wine Review: This dark red colored blend from Columbia Crest is very good and a great value. It opens with a blueberry and oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry and blackberry blend with hints of oak, gentle red plum and fine minerality towards the end. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger nicely. This wine is very nice and a perfect glass pour for a bistro that serves gourmet burgers. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Les Chevaux, (French for "the horses") is named for the wild horses that once roamed the Horse Heaven Hills. This lively red blend presents rose petal aromas and dark fruit cherry flavors, followed by smooth tannins that lead in to a vibrant finish. Pairs well with pepper steak, well seasoned beef or lamb, & rich stews.
