Wine Review: This dark red colored Syrah based blend from Spain is a good value wine. It opens with a wet stone, plum and cranberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a mild mineral infused gentle cranberry with notes black tea. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. This wine is a good summer quaffer red. It is also food friendly and would well with your favorite burger off the grill. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Jan Petit is a red wine made from old vines mountain in the southern area of Les Garrigues in the DO Costers del Segre. A wine with cherry and medium intensity with a high level of complexity. The palate is a red wine with soft tannins and balanced acidity, a red wine with candy and licorice notes.
