Wine Review: This dark red ink colored wine opens with an earthy wine cellar bouquet that includes red raspberries, oak, light new leather and vanilla. It is full bodied, smooth and assertive on the palate with a flavor profile of red raspberry, plum, oak and black pepper. I recommend opening this wine at least an hour before serving. The tannins and oak are initially quite bold and dominant but then do mellow with some air. The finish is smooth, dry and fades away nicely. I personally enjoyed this flavor profile and would pair this red blend with braised short ribs. – Joe

Winemaker Notes: Our dark ruby and medium plus bodied wine blend opens with aromas of spicy cherry and vanilla leading to generous flavors of cherry and plum with secondary notes of black pepper and baking spice. This wine is velvety with a long and lasting finish.
