Wine Review: This dark red colored Zinfandel opens with a black raspberry bouquet with hints of craisin and strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and a little juicy. The flavor profile is a mild oak influenced black currant with hints of fig, craisin, strawberry and cinnamon. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Zin is a very nice everyday wine and it would pair well with an Italian sausage sandwich smothered with sautéed red peppers, Bermuda onions and warm marinara sauce. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our 2016 deep ruby colored Ancient Vines Zinfandel is medium to full bodied with bright and lively acidity. It features bright strawberry, coffee and chocolate flavors with some spicy notes. Ripe fruit and soft tannins make this a mouth-coating and rich vintage. Aging on new and used oak has lent this wine a subtle vanilla quality that nicely complements the explosive fruit notes. Enjoy now or cellar for 5 to 7 years.
