Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Mourvedre opens with a fragrant red raspberry bouquet with hints of strawberries. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a black plum and black cherry blend with hints of oak, dark chocolate and a touch of black raspberry in the end. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Mourvedre is very food friendly and would be a perfect match for burgers off the grill this summer. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our Ancient Vines Mourvedre offers a hint of Eucalyptus on the nose, distinct chocolate characteristics, luscious deep plum, and concentrated cherry. This scrumptious and unusually delightful wine has a substantial mouth-feel followed by soft tannins. This scrumptious and unusually delightful wine goes exceptionally well with grilled lamb or pork, sautéed asparagus and curried deviled eggs.
