Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Malbec is quite a bargain. It opens with a red currant bouquet with a hint of plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and shows no rough edges. It is also quite savory. The flavor profile is a tasty mild red currant with notes of craisin and plum. I also picked up a little bit of cinnamon as well. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are sticky and linger for a while. This very good value wine would pair rather well with barbecue steak tips. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Sourced from a single vineyard, the grapes for this wine were bunch selected and hand harvested. The wine displays aroma of ripe plum and violets along with subtle hints of vanilla. Of great structure, this wine stands out for its meatiness and intense rich flavor while a soft silky finish balances the overall experience. Drink with grilled meat or salmon.
