Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Chardonnay from Oregon is consistently one of the best Chards from that state. The 2009 opens with an attractive lemon and vanilla oak like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and rich. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild vanilla oak infused Bosc pear with hints of lemon, and red apple. The finish is dry and its pleasant flavors linger for quite some time. This wine would be perfect with chicken and wild mushroom ravioli smothered in a rich butter cream sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This chardonnay is a varietal pinnacle, with warm-year influences of ripe peach or pear and baked apple with a touch of nutmeg, buttered pastry crust or creamy bread pudding, and golden raisins. The mouth encounters a rich, full structure, with tannin worthy of moderate age, as well as glycerol and length. Overall, a very beautiful blonde.
