Wine Review: This ruby red colored wine from Bordeaux opens with black cherry and red currant like bouquet with a hint of menthol and mild oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a mild black currant and black cherry blend with nicely integrated minerality. I also detected a hint of plum, old oak and black licorice. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are sticky and show some length. This wine is a bit rustic and would pair well with comfort foods like shepherd’s pie. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep purple colored, bright. Powerful and complex range of aromas, expresses ripe black fruits anointed an elegant oak and spicy. After a strong attack and fruity, the palate reveals a round, meaty flesh, warm and remarkably balanced. Drink with grilled meat, and french cheese.
