Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay from Washington opens with an oak and lemon bouquet with a hint of pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is an oak infused red apple with notes of pear and pineapple. The finish is dry and drifts away nicely. This Chard is going to be popular with readers who like this style. While not overly complex, it goes down easy and will be a crowd pleaser. It is a nice glass pour option that will not disappoint. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our Indian Wells Chardonnay delivers an appealing tropical fruit character typical of warm sites like the Wahluke Slope. I like this Chardonnay’s ripe pineapple and butterscotch flavors and rich, creamy texture. Try it with scallops, scampi or pasta with rich sauces.
