Wine Review: This opaque and onyx colored Cabernet from Washington State opens with a mild leather and old oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle and mild blackberry with hints of black licorice, blueberry, mild oak and Hershey’s kisses. The finish is dry and its rather dusty oak tannins are sticky and linger for some time. I would pair this food friendly Cab with Theresa’s meatloaf or herb encrusted rack of lamb. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Canoe Ridge Estate Cab is a beautifully balanced wine that offers a classic, fresh expression of Horse Heaven Hills fruit. The wine shows varietal black olive notes with ripe cherry flavors and soft tannins. It is my go to wine that can handle any food.
