Wine Review: This ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based second label wine from Chateau Lagrange opens with a gentle cedar and black currant bouquet with hints of black olives. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, delicate, and fresh. The flavor profile is black cherry and cedar blend with notes of black plum and stone dust. I also detected hints of red licorice. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and its dusty tannins stick around for a very long time. I would pair this red blend with lamb skewers. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Les Fiefs de Lagrange 2019 may surprise you with its pure harmony! The nose offers a subtle marriage of black and red fruit, peppered with spicy notes. The palate is generous, creamy, and smooth. A pleasant freshness brings balance to this wine that could be approachable young. But make no mistake, this is a bottle that will also continue to amaze us for the next 20 years!
