Wine Review: This dark red colored Merlot based wine from Pomerol is still around and is drinking very nicely right now. It opens with a new leather and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty cedar with notes of black cherry and chocolate. I also detected hints of plum. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger and last for a while. This very nice wine from Bordeaux would pair nicely with sauteed veal medallions with sage and mushrooms. Enjoy - Ken
