Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Merlot based wine from St. Emilion opens with a ripe blueberry and black cherry bouquet with hints of black currant. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with wonderfully integrated acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, super smooth and velvety. The flavor profile is a crushed stone and gentle blackberry blend with notes black olive, black currant, and oak. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins build-up and stick around for a very long time. This wine needs time to show its true potential. If you need to have it soon, decant it for a very long time before serving it with a porterhouse steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: A deep color immediately catches the eye. Perfect aromatic purity mingling with black fruit notes offers great charm on the nose. On the palate, a touch of sweetness gives way to elegant tension with velvety, refined tannins. The alcohol (lower than in 2010) and the oak are perfectly integrated. The lingering finish is underpinned by the elegance of the Cabernet Franc and the purity of the fruit, intermixed with delicate hints of spice.
