Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Merlot opens with black raspberry and pomegranate with hints of red plum, cedar and baking spice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with nice acidity. We also found it to be well-balanced and round. This flavor profile is a stewed red plum and fine mineral blend with notes of black tea, bay leaf and spice. The finish is dry and its flavors and well-managed fine tannins drift away nicely. The Panel would pair this Merlot with a filet mignon or lamb kabobs. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This beautiful Merlot draws you in with aromas of black cherry, cassis, ripe plum, anise, forest floor and complex herbs, as well as French oak-inspired hints of vanilla, clove and cedar chest. On the palate, silky tannins and a supple richness are balanced by a bright underlying energy that frames the vibrant red currant and cassis flavors, while carrying the wine to a lingering finish of fruit and fine herbs.
