Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Napa Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a very fragrant and attractive black currant and dark chocolate bouquet. The Panel also detected scents of ripe cherry and vanilla oak as well. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very nicely balanced, soft and smooth. The flavor profile is a black cherry and black tea blend with beautifully integrated minerality and oak. The finish is dry and its luscious tannins are a tad astringent and show extraordinary long length. The Panel suggested pairing the Cab with veal Milanese or a venison steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The phenomenal 2013 growing season has yielded one of our finest Signature Cabernets in memory. Both charming and complex, this is a wine that strikes a deft balance between elegance and power. The nose reveals layers of black cherry, cassis, dark chocolate, roasted coffee and oak inspired notes of cedar and spice. On the palate, fine-grained tannins underscore a classic Cabernet structure, as well as alluring blackberry and wild berry flavors that resonate through to a long, lingering finish.
