Wine Review: This wine was clearly the best wine we discovered in a mixed flight of white wines. It is very pale yellow colored and opens with a fragrant red apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is a mild green melon and minerality blend with hints of Anjou pear and lemongrass. The finish is dry and lands softly. The panel suggested pairing this wine with grilled halibut or Portuguese fish stew. (Winery only – so call soon) Enjoy KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: While our Signature Cabernet and Chardonnay bear Donn Chappellet’s name, Molly Chappellet’s signature graces our Chenin Blanc label. It offers a complex array of fresh and floral aromas, with vibrant layers of pineapple, Meyer lemon, honeysuckle, cut grass and just a hint of sweet vanilla from barrel aging. The pineapple notes continue on the palate, alongside a streak of orange peel citrus that combines with excellent acidity to create a bright and lively mouthfeel. The finish is persistent, with juicy ripe fruit, hazelnut and a delicate sweetness.
