Wine Review: This pitch-black colored "Special Selection" Cabernet Sauvignon from Caymus is the best version of this wine that we can remember. It opens with a faint peach and balsam fir branches bouquet with hints of plum pudding and orange zest. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is very nicely balanced, super smooth, voluptuous, and seamless. The flavor profile is a blackberry and espresso blend with notes of blueberry and cardamom. We also detected hints of lavender, dark chocolate, and orange zest. The finish is dry, and its flavors and polished moderate dusty tannins are nicely sustained. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with a firepit and friends. With food we would pair it with a bone-in porterhouse steak with bearnaise sauce. Enjoy - KWGTP
