Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Montepulciano opens with a dark cherry, cedar, and dried herbs bouquet with a hint of smoke. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and bright. The flavor profile a gentle cedar influenced cherry and loam blend with notes of black tea. I also detected some hints of rosemary and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors and tannins stick around for a little while. I would pair this very good Montepulciano with steak fajitas or with slow cooked beef short ribs. Enjoy - Ken & Mark
