Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Sangiovese from Napa opens with a mild blueberry bouquet with a hint of menthol, vanilla oak, and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty blueberry and boysenberry blend with notes of black cherry. I also detected hints of oak, raisin and black pepper. The finish is dry and its food friendly. I would pair this very good wine spaghetti and homemade meatballs. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Perfumed aromas of dried flowers, red plum, sweet exotic spices and wild berry flavors framed by supple, toasty oak. It pairs quite well with fish in a rich sauce, grilled meats and vegetables in garlic and olive oil, pastas with mild sausage and antipasti with flavorful cheeses
