Wine Review: This ruby-colored, semi-opaque red blend opens with intriguingly complex aromas of dark chocolate, turned earth, palo santo incense and apple skins. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and smooth with cherry flavors up front followed by hints of strawberry and pomegranate. The tannins are bold and add complexity to the moderate oak treatment. The finish is notably dry but its red fruit flavors last for some time. This wine is best suited for hearty dishes like a wild boar ragu or pappardelle pasta with Pecorino Romano and black truffles. - Jeoff

Winemaker Notes: This wine is powerful, yet supple and elegant. The nose opens with intense red berry and cassis fruit highlighted by notes of dark chocolate and tobacco. Firm and silky upon entry, the palate is equally intense with chewy and sweet tannins and a very persistent finish with dark berries and sweet spices.
