Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored red blend from Toscana is a great value wine. It opens with a barnyard and black cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty gentle tart black cherry with notes of light oak and plum. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are sticky and linger nicely. This wine would be a good glass pour option with a juicy Angus bacon burger. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: With an intense ruby red colour, this wine offers to the nose a fruited and persistent aroma in which swirling the glass,, is possible to note light spiced notes of pepper and liquorices. A young wine, dry, fresh, with good tannin and good aftertaste. Best match: Pappardelle with wild boar's meat sauce.
