Wine Review: Caravan is the second label for Darioush. This vintage is clearly my favorite Caravan to date. It is a very dark ruby colored Cab and opens with a black cherry bouquet with hints of truffle and spice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced, smooth, and elegant. The flavor profile is a very tasty and approachable blend of mild raspberry and black cherry with a touch of spice as well. The finish is dry and its building fine tannins are very lengthy. Pair this fairly priced Napa Cab with a thick cut of prime rib and enjoy. Cheers - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Ripe and juicy flavors of black cherry, licorice, and plum introduce this approachable Cabernet Sauvignon. Flavors of cola, bakers chocolate, and French roast coffee linger on a soft and round midpalate. A smooth, lingering finish reveals hints of black pepper, cedar, and spice.
