Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Walla Walla opens with a fragrant ripe blackberry with notes of cola and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round and savory. The flavor profile is a ripe blackberry and boysenberry blend with notes of crushed stone minerality and oak. I also detected hints of black tea and black licorice nibs. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins and flavors linger for a very long time. I would pair this rich Cab from Washington with a black & blue flat iron steak. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Luxurious and beautifully aromatic, the bouquet of this robust Cabernet Sauvignon reveals fascinating notes of loamy earth and wet-rock minerality, with tantalizing layers of wild blackberry, bramble, plum and cassis, as well as oak-inspired hints of graham cracker and mocha. On the palate it is ripe and powerful, with silky, mouth-filling dark berry and damson plum flavors that carry the wine to a long, driving finish.
