Wine Review: This straw colored white wine from Spain opens with a lime and pilsner beer like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is lime with notes of nicely integrated minerality. I also detected some Anjou pear and a dash of white pepper. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors last for a while after the wine is gone. This pleasant wine is a good value and would pair well with steamed mussels in a garlic wine broth. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Parellada (locally, Montonec), Macabeo, Chardonnay, and a touch of Malvasía de Sitges. Parellada at its best, from high-altitude, gravelly mountain soils: intense lemon-oil aroma with firm acid structure enhanced by the rare, glyceric Malvasía. Stony and aromatic, reminiscent of France's Chablis or Rheingau.
