Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Calera opens with a dried strawberry and dark chocolate bouquet with hints of cherry-cola, graphite, and violet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and fresh. The flavor profile is stewed plum and graphite blend with notes of very dark chocolate dust and espresso. We also detected hints of tobacco and black raspberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and fine medium tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Pinot with rosemary encrusted lamb lollipops. Enjoy - KWGTP
