Wine Review: This bright ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a cranberry and red raspberry bouquet with hints of black cherry and lingonberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and very approachable. The flavor profile is a juicy red plum and clove blend with notes of pomegranate, and loam. We also detected hints of red cherry and tea. The finish is dry and its flavors and gentle tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with fresh sliced Norwegian salmon, mushroom risotto, or Steve's paella. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Planted in 1975 and with a northern exposure, Reed is always the last vineyard harvested on Mt. Harlan each year, yielding a wine with lovely energy and fascinating aromatic complexity. Luxurious aromas of black cherry and cardamom rise from the glass, followed by hints of cantaloupe and fresh-cracked pepper. On the palate, velvety tannins and dramatic dark fruit layers take center stage, carrying the wine to a rich, silky finish.
