Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Calera is very nice. It opens with a mild cherry bouquet with a hint mulberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is a mild plum and gentle cranberry blend with notes of earth tones. I also detected some hints of spice, oak and black pepper mixed in. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Pinot Noir is very food friendly and all that tried it liked it a lot. It would pair nicely with a pork roast. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Year after year, the 1975 plantings of Selleck Vineyard produce a wine of stunning poise and power, with silky tannins and lush, pure flavors. Offering layers of juicy black cherry, blackberry, tea leaves and cracked pepper, this is an impeccably balanced wine, with a bright, harmonious finish.
