Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Calera opens with a stewed plum and sage bouquet with a hint of strawberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is juicy red plum with notes of strawberry and a hint of flinty mineralogy towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Pinot Noir would pair perfectly with a pork chop. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: With lovely depth and complexity, this is a wine that stimulates both the senses and the mind, offering layers of ripe red plum, black raspberry, pomegranate and savory sandalwood. On the palate, flavors of raspberry jam and chocolate are underscored by rich, silky tannins with good natural acidity adding poise and length.
