Wine Review: This Excellent dark red colored Pinot Noir opens with an attractive strawberry and black cherry bouquet with a hint of cranberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a very tasty plum with notes of oak and strawberry. There is also some black pepper, mild minerality and a touch of pomegranate that add to the complexity. The finish is dry and shows terrific length for a Pinot as its flavors drift away. This Pinot would pair perfectly with Bon Appetit's roast duck with potatoes, figs, and rosemary. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This 2014 Jensen vineyard Pinot Noir has a fabulous nose; beautiful integrated, seamless aromas of dark fruits, sweet oak, mineral, black cherry pie and mesquite. The texture is round and broad with many layers; the flavors are bright and perfumey, the structure is very fine grained and smooth. This wine is complete even so young, and promises a very long life ahead in the cellar.
