Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Sauvignon Blanc opens with a mild green melon with a hint of wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and very nicely balanced between its fruit and acidity. This is a very easy to drink Sauvignon Blanc. Its flavor profile is a very tasty mild green apple with a hint of pink grapefruit and mild mineralty. The finish is dry and pleasantly refreshing. This wine would pair very nicely with grilled mahi mahi. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: In 2010 after 3 years of painstaking work, our PlumpJack Estate vineyard is finally the backbone of our Sauvignon Blanc. The 2010 Sauvignon Blanc harvested from our Estate vineyards now contributes over half (52%) of the grapes for this wine. The resulting increase in quality is readily apparent. Aromas of Lychee, Honeydew Melons, spearmint and freshly mown hay are followed on the palate with flavors of melon, figs, Fiji apple and spring peas. A little more acid than the 2009 results in a mouthwatering finish that brings you back for a second glass!!!
