Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cab from Washington State opens with a black currant bouquet with a hint of oak, and eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, soft, and savory. The flavor profile is black currant with a hint of cinnamon, black cherry, rhubarb, and oak. The finish is dry and its dusty oak tannins are moderate and linger for a little while. This Cab is food friendly and would pair well with pork tenderloin. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Bright red-ruby hue. Aromas of cherry, dark plum, raspberry, currant and dark chocolate truffle initially on the nose, opening to a broad spectrum of cherry, raspberry, dark plum, and red currant with hints of bay leaf. Supple texture, with harmonious, elegant and nicely integrated oak. Finishes with smooth tannins, and dried cranberry and cherry linger nicely in the finish.
