Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chardonnay from CHEV opens with a delicate chalk, pineapple and light lemon bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well-balanced, and super silky. The flavor profile is a tasty mild pineapple, lemon, gentle mineral and oak blend. I also detected some hints of white peach and some vanilla that appears in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. This classy Chard is refined and food friendly. It was very well-liked by all that tried it. I would pair it with grilled lobsters with vanilla cream sauce. (Langouste à la Vanille) Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Nose: Citrus blossom, lemon curd, essence of orange peel and wet stone accentuated by light floral notes.
Mouth: Enticing tropical flavors of pineapple, slightly ripe papaya and hints of orange blossom. Vibrant and nuanced with deep minerality and focused texture. Broad, balanced acidity with a viscous character and a lengthy finish.
