Wine Review: This dark ruby and slightly cloudy Barbera opens with a fragrant pomegranate and cherry bouquet with a hint of cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a cedar influenced red plum with notes of pomegranate. I also detected nicely integrated flinty minerality throughout with a hint of strawberry at the very end. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity show nice extension. This Barbera would pair well with bruschetta. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: Intense, deep red, with purple reflections Nose: Clean and simple scent of ripe fruit (plum, blackberry, black cherry and blueberry), with final hints of almond and hazelnut Flavor: Mouth filling, warm, savory and harmonic
