Wine Review: This midnight purple colored wine from Bruce Patch is very good. It opens with a black raspberry and blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, rich and has a lot of juicy extracted fruit. Those fruit flavors are primarily ripe blackberry with notes of boysenberry. I also detected hints of stewed plum, minerality and a bit of oak and strawberry licorice. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. I would enjoy this wine on its own by the campfire this summer. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Like the patchwork vineyards of Sonoma County, this delicious wine represents terroir-A blend of 67% Zinfandel with Carignane, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Sangiovese and Petit Verdot. In French and American oak for 20 months. We crafted this wine with the goal to produce an elegant Zinfandel blend that would pair nicely with food or stand alone as a stunning "by the glass" wine.
