Wine Review: This light straw-colored Chardonnay from Oregon is very good. It opens with a fruity bouquet that includes melon, lemon, lime and hints of vanilla and light oak. The medium body is smooth, crisp and vibrant. The flavor profile features lemon, lime and light pink grapefruit along with notes of peaches. I enjoyed the balanced bright acidity and minerality in this Chard. The finish was extended, gratifying and slightly dry with a slight hint of tartness. I would pair this lively Chardonnay with creamy chicken and bacon carbonara pasta. - Joe
Winemaker Notes: The wine is a pale straw in color. The fruit aromas are centered on apricot and quince with an herbal chamomile note followed by whiffs of toasted almonds. In the mouth green apple, ripe melon and lime combine with floral notes of jasmine. The wine has very nice integrated acidity that contributes to a long velvety finish. Pair with crab cakes or grilled chicken with creamy sauces.
