Wine Review: This midnight blue colored wine from Borgo Scopeto is very nice. It opens with a cherry-cola and boysenberry like bouquet with a hint of cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a ripe black cherry with notes of cedar and lush blackberry. I also detected hints of minerality and red plum. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick around for a little while. This red blend is very good and would pair very nicely with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: charged ruby. Bouquet: ethereal and ample, refined and enticing, with noble aromas. Palate: full bodied with extraordinary structure, terrific harmony, and surprising softness.
