Wine Review: I thought this wine was the steal of the show at this year’s Newport Wine Festival. This very dark purple colored wine is a lot of wine for the money. It opens with a mild black currant like bouquet. However, on the palate, this wine shows it true value. It is full bodied, very well balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty mild black currant with notes of light black raspberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick with you for a while. This wine is a terrific value and it would pair perfectly with beef bourguignon. Enjoy - Ken
