Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cab received high marks from our panel in our high end blind tasting. The best news is you can get his wine for less than $50. It opens with a very fragrant ripe black cherry bouquet with notes of eucalyptus and black pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, lush, and polished. The flavor profile is a fruit forward spicy black cherry with hints of herbs and black pepper. The finish is quite dry and its tannins are noticeable and they sail along nicely. Pair this wine with a veal chop or baked brie cheese. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This wine certainly ranks among the most powerful, rich and balanced Cabernets that we have made. It is both elegant and solidly proportioned with aromatic notes of rose petal, black currant, lead pencil, and well-integrated vanilla; It is both rich and silky on the palate. The sweet ripe tannins and a solid core beg for some bottle age. There is a fine persistence of flavor and it is delicious now but will gain complexity and finesse with time. Expected maturity 2008 through 2015.
