Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Pinot Noir from Black Kite opens with a pomegranate, sauteed mushroom, and spiced black plum bouquet with hints of loam and Luxardo cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with moderate acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, savory and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is flavorful blackberry, stewed red plum, loam, and sweet tea blend with notes of clove and white pepper. We also detected a hint of toast and a touch of anise. The finish is dry and its flavors, acidity, and gentle tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with lamb lollipops, a blue cheeseburger, farmers sausage and potatoes, or with mushroom risotto. Enjoy – KWGTP
